Camp Christopher April Update

Winter decided to make an appearance here today. Not sure I appreciate it but we do need the moisture. Hopefully you all have been able to enjoy the outdoors through all the spring weather changes. I was able to visit Camp Chris a couple of weeks ago and things were looking great! The road in was in pretty good shape and will hopefully stay that way as spring moves forward.
We have seen more reservations coming forward lately. I think the turmoil we feel in our country is having a significant impact on many people and their mental health. Please take care of yourselves and find the support you need to deal with the stressors of just being present in our current country landscape. I'm a big believer in the healing powers of the outdoors. Get out and take it in. Birds are migrating back and the woods are coming to life. Find the beauty and hope in all that is around you. If you haven't been to Camp Christopher, it is a place that has a magical vibe that helps with the healing, grieving and hope.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need a listening ear or word of encouragement. I'm not a counselor but will gladly listen and share resources if they are needed. You are cared for and everyone of you is worth the time. Remember all are welcome at Camp Christopher, no matter who you are, where you are at in life or what you're going through - YOU ARE WELCOME!
There are plenty of days available for reservations this summer. Depending on weather and road conditions we may be able to open up the camp prior to May 15.
We are planning a work day for Saturday, May 3 with Sunday, May 4 being the rain date. The main work will be putting up the gazebo and cleaning up around the camp. Getting some gardens ready, etc. will also be possible.
If you have other ideas for camp, please let us know. Always open to good ideas.
We are grateful for all of you and the blessing you have been in our lives!
Grace and peace,
Esther & Dave
